I'm a Sony FX9 owner/operator with more than 13 years experience in documentary, video journalism and commercial filmmaking.
As a senior producer at Reveal from The Center for Investigative Reporting, I built a social video desk and designed strategies to build audience reach around enterprise reporting. My work helped to take home an Ed Murrow award for Excellence in Social Media.
Prior to that, I was a daily producer at AJ+, where I created hundreds of news videos that netted more than a half-billion views. Some of my favorite projects included a video essay on how the Black Panther Party changed U.S. healthcare and a mini-doc about a makeshift city of 300,000 South Sudanese refugees living in Uganda.
I transitioned to freelance during the pandemic, primarily working as an editor and DP for corporate and TV news clients. I am adept at balancing the needs of multiple stakeholders.
I completed a Master’s in Journalism from UC Berkeley in 2013, where my thesis film “Trainwreck to Narnia” was recognized with the 'Margaret and Will Hearst Excellence in Documentary' award.
